The UC Office of State Governmental Relations (SGR) would like to solicit your ideas for issues that may require legislation sponsored by the University in 2025. Although the number of legislative proposals in any given year that SGR can accommodate as sponsored legislation is limited, we would like to encourage you to submit proposals for changes to state law that may be necessary or desirable as they relate to University programs, activities or existing statute.
When considering whether to submit a legislative proposal, keep in mind that proposals with significant fiscal costs or implications to the University face unique obstacles as they may compete with the University’s annual State Budget Request. So, we encourage legislative proposals to not have fiscal costs if possible.
