Yours truly - who is no legal expert - suggested UC might want to make some kind of settlement in the Zhong case. Yours truly - who again is no legal expert - was unaware that a similar case had been filed in February against UC by other plaintiffs.** This other one looks shakier than the Zhong case because it is filed on behalf of applicants who haven't yet been rejected but fear they will be judged unfairly. (And, once again, yours truly is not a legal expert.)
Nonetheless, settling the Zhong case would likely settle the other. And, as we pointed out, the current environment is providing UC with a plethora of hills to die on and this particular one may not be the highest priority.
