Yesterday, we noted that a notice of a meeting of the Regents' committee looking for a new UC president to replace President Drake mysteriously disappeared from the Regents' website. Eleven AM, the designated time for the meeting came and went without any announcements.
So, what happened. Apparently, we'll never know. As of today, no replacement meeting is listed which suggests that the disappearance of the meeting was something more than a scheduling issue.
Could it be that we had a candidate who - at the last minute - got away?
