UC Berkeley is set to transform its student housing landscape with the proposed Bancroft-Fulton Student Housing project, a 23-story tower southwest of campus meant to address an urgent need for on-campus accommodations. Renderings for the dormitory were revealed this week, showcasing a design that will replace a two-story commercial building and parking lot at 2200 Bancroft Way with up to 1,634 beds, primarily for first- and second-year undergraduates.
