Wilshire Bl between Gayley Av and Westwood Bl: Sewer Service Entries
Summary Construction along Wilshire Bl continues Friday, June 26 at 9 pm. Work will continue through 6 am on Monday, June 29. The same work will occur the weekends beginning on Friday, July 3 and Friday, July 10.
Work includes construction of sewer service entries at the southeast entrance of the Westwood/UCLA Station, supporting overall station construction. Schedule - 9 pm Friday, June 26 through 6 am Monday, June 29
Traffic Control - Westbound Wilshire Bl will remain open with traffic control in place.
- Eastbound Wilshire Bl will be closed between Gayley Av/Midvale Av and Westwood Bl.
- Local traffic on eastbound Wilshire Bl will be detoured onto Gayley Av and Midvale Av.
- Thru traffic will be detoured to Santa Monica Bl via Federal Av.
- Detour routes will be marked with signage.
- Lane reductions on Veteran Av north and south of Wilshire Bl.
- Closure of southbound left-turn pocket on Gayley Av onto Wilshire Bl.
- Closure of northbound right-turn pocket on Midvale Av onto Wilshire Bl.
Pedestrian and Business Access - Sidewalk closures will be in place in the immediate work area; pedestrians should follow posted detour signage.
Closure: Noteworthy - All work has received necessary permits and approvals.
- Access for emergency responders will be maintained at all times.
- Parking restrictions will be enforced in the work zone.
