From time to time, we have posted information about subway construction along Wilshire with cautionary notes about traffic during construction.

It might be noted, however, that the Wall St. Journal recently came out with a video segment on public transit in the LA area. It notes some of the problems in retrofitting transit in a car-centric region where - unlike, say, New York City - most people are not commuting to work in a centralized downtown area.
