Our weekly look at new weekly claims for unemployment insurance in California still finds the series in the roughly 40,000-60,000 range of the pre-pandemic boom. So, no recession alarm bells yet. Is the series trending up? Yes, but there have been blips before. We'll continue our vigil. Tune in next week.
