Our regular weekly search in California data on new weekly claims for unemployment insurance continues to reveal no sign of recession. Things are where they were in the prepandemic (boom) period. The June projections from the UCLA Anderson Forecast will be out this coming Wednesday. We'll see what the Forecast has to say.
