Pension Dropped 12% in First Quarter

The report to the Regents' Investments Committee for the upcoming meeting reports that the pension portfolio dropped over 12% in value during the first quarter. (No, that doesn't mean you won't get your pension.) The loss may be somewhat understated since gains are reported for private equity and real estate, categories that are hard to value on a spot basis, unlike publicly traded stocks and bonds.

The General Endowment dropped 9%.
