UC seems to have a problem with new computer systems. The difficulties in getting UCPath going are well known. And there is the problem of the rollout of UCRAYS, a new system for retirees that seems to have difficulties as well.

To deal with difficulties in accessing UCRAYS, there is a process of requesting assistance from a human attendant. When one files such a request, an email - such as the one above - comes back which says that there will be a response within "5 business days." Yours truly isn't 100% sure of the definition of a business day, but it sure seems like there must have been at least five of them since October 26 when the email above was received.
