LAO doesn't want UC to do it

The Legislative Analyst's Office (LAO) notes that the Assembly wanted to give UC $50 million for three years to increase output of physicians, while the Senate did not (and only a little to another agency - the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development [OSHPD]), LAO suggests a compromise whereby OSHPD would cut a middle-ground figure. UC would get nothing, apparently on the grounds that it is due to get some Prop 56 tobacco tax money.
