The state controller confirms what we already knew: That state revenue results for the current fiscal year are coming in below past projections:

Forecast revenue for FY2016-17 for July-April

As projected as part of last June's
budget for this year:                   $98.7 billion

As projected as part of last January's
budget for this year:                   $97.1 billion

Actual revenue through April:           $96.9 billion
