Listen to the Regents' Health Services Committee of April 9, 2019

As noted in prior postings, the Regents' Health Services Committee met last Tuesday at UCLA. We have archived the audio since the Regents don't preserve their recordings beyond one year. Almost all the public comment period was devoted to a proposed cooperative arrangement with Dignity Health, a "faith based" (Catholic) hospital chain and UC-San Francisco. Although several speakers voiced support for the  proposed arrangement, most opposed it because of constraints on reproductive health issues and related concerns. The public comment session was largely replicated when the issue was discussed by the Committee.
